luck of the Irish

kate and i conquered Dublin this weekend. we arrived there friday afternoon to a drizzling city. but the rain doesn't stop these people from going out. people were everywhere: shopping, eating, singing, dancing, playing guitars, etc. we shopped for a good bit then went and got a typical Irish dinner. that's right, we had Fish n Chips. my belly was so satisfied to eat something fried. the next day we had a tour of the outskirts of Dublin. We got to see Wicklow (sp?) park and it was huge and beautiful. This "park" was really just big fields were sheep grazed. it was beautiful nonetheless. it was also where "ps i love you" was filmed! we walked where Hilary Swank walked [it was awesomeee]. we ate mexican food, walked around, took pictures of ducks, and listened to singers on the streets of city center Dublin. we also visited the Book of Kells; this is the huge library that is in Trinty College. Kate was in heaven, until we realized it was closed [insert very sad face]. however, we quickly picked ourselves up from our bootstraps and got a Creme Brule Latte at Starbucks. that made us both feel better.

dublin is a cool city and im so glad we were able to see it. i hope to go back again soon!

we found a Mexican restaurant and it was delicious
this was our spacious room. [note the sarcasm]. we paid 25 euros a night for this awful room. it was such an experience.
