SCOTTSDALE, AZ

This past week, Jay surprised me with a trip to Scottsdale, AZ. I had no idea where we were going until we got to the airport. I thought we were going to the beach because Jay told me to pack a bathing suit; he obviously had me fooled. We went with Anna and Philip (Jay's sister and brother in law). They were the most gracious of hosts, providing our food and lodging for the week. We had such a lovely time. It was relaxing to be able to get away and enjoy time with Jay. This was my Christmas present from Jay and it was more than I could ask for: time with him. Here's some snapshots of the week:
we had this fancy dinner at Heirloom. It was a restaurant that sat about 20 people. There is a set menu and the chef cooks right in front of you. It was so delicious!
Went to IN N OUT burger. you can get a HUGE burger for $1.90. say whaaatttt? we were all over that
We went on a hike in the Arizona desert. It really is as brown as they say it is. We had the best weather for a hike, though. Clear skies and a light breeze.
After dinner at the Greene House, we went for a strole around the cute mall area. The lights made it really feel like Christmas

We saw New Years Eve. such a cute movie. We didnt know what we were doing, so the lady told us to buy these $20 movie tickets that included reclining chairs, a pillow and blanket, popcorn, and free refills. WHAT? this movie theatre also provided food, a full menu. You could order a steak and watch your movie if you wanted. Don't think we'll ever do it again, but it was an experience!

Jay, Anna, Philip, and I had the best time. We shopped in the worlds greatest mall and ate the best food. Anna and Philip, thank you for hosting us and being the best hosts in the world. It was a perfect 4 days! Can't wait to hopefully do it again one day!
